The Star Wars Planets Tour

The new 360 degree video released by LucasFilm on Facebook today is certainly worth a look! On a PC or Mac, you can change the view of the camera as you whiz through a Tatooine type desert landscape, littered with space wrecks. On a mobile device, you can tilt for the same effect.

For the December issue of Digital Art Live, we are actively looking for artists that have created stunning Star Wars style landscapes. We’d love to promote their work in celebration of the new Force Awakens film release, so please get in touch with me if you know of such talent. Indeed if you have a hankering to create your own artwork ready for this issue, we would love to hear from you. Remember that we now include 2D and 3D digital artists.

As an example of style we may be looking for, previously interviewed in 3D Art Direct,Lewis Moorcroft’s Astral Realms project included a Tatooine looking planet named Equanimity, created in Mojoworld. It has very much a Ralph McQuarrie style about it – a production painting look. Please support Lewis’s work by exploring his very atmospheric site, that includes music he has created to go along with his striking artwork.
