The 3Delight render engine provides a powerful alternative to Iray in DAZ Studio. If your computer has lower resources, doesn’t have an NVIDIA graphic card or you want your render times to be reduced then 3Delight can and should be utilised. If you are working with non-realistic characters or are working on an animation, then again – 3Delight may well be the right choice for you.

But often artists find that rendering with 3DL makes the final images look “flat” with poor shadow quality. They really struggle how to light scenes for this render engine.

Discover how to overcome these challenges and learn the surprising advantages of 3Delight from Karl Knarr who has helped many artists get more out of DAZ Studio.

Community Input

As well as Karl’s presentation, I’d love to invite YOU to provide a tip about 3DL and how to get the most from it. Come and join us to collaborate and show us your best examples of 3DL artwork and add to the discussion during this session.
