Part I : Places and Props

Drew Spence from The Dynamic Universe is back with Digital Art Live to present a kit bashing series of workshops. Part I is a study in extending the usefulness of your Daz library and adding 3rd party parts and pieces to produce your dream place or prop.
We will cover:
- The best product and product types to facilitate kit-bashing.
- Generating textures and creating a uniform look.
- Shading props and tailoring the feel of your assets.
- Importing and converting 3rd party products for DAZ Studio usage.
- Expert uses of scale and lighting to create a signature style
Part II : Space and Spaceships
Date: Saturday January 18th – 20:00 GMT/12:00 PST/15:00 EST
Part II is all about the open spaces and the starships that travel across your galaxy. We have in the Daz store space HDRI products and alien-world skydomes. We can create our own galactic backdrop and build on those environments through kit bashing. We can take the post work approach and create our own scenery or add our extra touches directly in DAZ Studio to whatever environment we have chosen to use.
We will cover:
- The best products and environments to start from and aid in our kit bashing efforts.
- Software to generate spacescapes, skies, beautiful starfields and more!
- Creating your own planets and worlds in 2D and 3D.
- Resources for royalty-free images
- Generate Spaceships or build them yourself plus the best sites for modular parts and pieces.
Part III : Cities and Landscapes
Date: Sunday January 20th – 20:00 GMT/12:00 PST/15:00 EST
Part III brings us to down to the surface of your planet. Do more than arrange buildings by creating a signature city for your characters to inhabit. Control your terrain and craft a world that is familiar or as alien as you need.
We will cover:
- The best product and product types to facilitate the city and landscape kit-bashing.
- Options to generate landscape and landmasses for DAZ Studio.
- Free and low-cost solutions for buildings and facilities.
- Generating textures and creating a uniform look for your structures.
- Shading props and tailoring the feel of your assets.
- Importing and converting 3rd party products for DAZ Studio usage.
- Expert uses of scale and lighting to create a signature construction style.
